Martin Densham
Martin Densham is a retired Royal Naval officer who now works as a consultant for the merchant shipping industry from his home in the historic district. He has renovated a number of period homes in the US and UK and is keen, as a part of the Association, to support the development of the local area with local residents and business owners.
Joe Schaefer
Joe Schaefer and his wife Judy vacationed and visited family in Newport for many years, before becoming homeowners on historic hill in 1983, when they moved a 200 year old post-and-beam house in pieces from Saratoga NY, and reconstructed it on a quiet dead end street.

For the next 20 years they spent summers and holidays here with their two children. In 2003, Joe retired after almost 40 years of teaching music in the public school system, and they moved to Newport full time. He and Judy are avid and knowledgeable gardeners. His appreciation of historic architecture and preservation of this unique community make him a real asset to our town and our board.
